For those of us in the Wabash Valley that have been in the martial arts, we know Theresa Ortega. She has been in this area for a long time, offering support through product sales, downtown revitalization, and so much more. She has been a valuable part of our community.
Last year Theresa hosted the first Terre Haute Martial Arts Extravaganza, outside her shop, Kamikaze Karate, located on Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute, Indiana. It was fun. Several of the Wabash Valley’s martial art schools showed up and showcased their systems for everyone to enjoy.
Well, Theresa is hosting the event again, but this time with a twist. In a publication she released today (via email) she puts it this way:
The group had a great time last year and asked to do it again. So WHY NOT! It will be a great way to say goodbye to this downtown location that has served the community for almost 22 years. I want to have a chance for local instructors to come together once again and share what they know. It will also be a great time to reminisce about the many years here in this location and talk about the future.
Theresa is closing her physical location (for Kamikaze Karate) after this event. So, I wanted to write this and invite everyone out to this – her last – Martial Arts Extravaganza. Here are the details:
I would, also, like to thank Theresa for her service to our community. God bless.
