Does the Yost Wing Chun School Offer Online Classes?

Recently, with everyone at home due to the COVID shelter in place restrictions, I have been asked if I (or anyone else here at the Yost Wing Chun kwoon) offer online training courses. Our online courses are included with monthly tuition for students of the kwoon. They include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Donnie Yen Ip Man Mook JongStudents are able to share with the class or privately with me video questions that they have while they are at home applying what they learned in class. I respond in kind, so (if in the group) everyone (or if in private) and the individual can benefit from the question and answer.
  • Periodically we have online classes, where everyone can join in an extra class that we hold in a private group. These can run from 30 minutes to an hour, usually.
  • Group chat and mentorship programs are available for students to converse with each other and their Sifu at any time. The mentorship programs add an additional element to training, as two or more students may join together with similar goals and motivate and encourage one another to successful achievement.
  • Video lessons are available in a private group and can be accessed by students at any time. All of these lessons are taught by me.

Of course, we’re always looking to improve and seek out new ways the kwoon can empower every student. And, as we do so, we will be adding more.

Our mission is to see every student empowered to life – not just generically go through a program for belt-accumulations. In life, as with everything, self defense is an activity of high stakes, requiring participants to seek life – not glory. If our priorities are not right we will not achieve a state of be-ing empowered, leaving us unable at one of the most desperate and costly of times. . . . For that reason, the kwoon will never compromise on or apologize for that mission. With that said, I will have to be convinced that the addition will benefit students in this way.

Empower yourself to life!™
